BATELCO ENTERS THE 21st CENTURY

Perhaps you have been a part of the incredible scenario wherein your BaTelCo monthly statement has not arrived, or is late in arriving, and your telephone is cut off for non-payment.

If you haven’t experienced this, then surely you have heard friends anguish over it happening to them.

We have found a way around this. On or after the tenth of the month, have your latest BaTelCo bill in front of you and log onto the Net. Enter www.btcbahamas.com .

The BaTelCo home page comes up. Click on “YOUR ACCOUNT CENTER”.

Second page – click on “Register Here”.

Third page: enter your BaTelCo account number, your telephone number AND your latest invoice number. (The LATEST invoice number is most important). Then, click on “RETRIEVE CUSTOMER ACCOUNT”.

Fourth Page - Enter all they ask including personal data such as a password and your e-mail address. Then, click on “Submit”

You then get a page asking for some of the previous data. Follow the instructions and you will bring up your current statement that you can print out.

You will then find among your e-mails one from BaTelCo giving you a warm welcome and an address link which will take you in future directly to your account.

You now know something that nobody at BaTelCo Treasure Cay or BaTelCo Marsh Harbour knows. After asking around fruitlessly at both places, we finally got all the above from a sympathetic soul at BaTelCo Nassau, and it works.

You then get a page asking for some of the previous data. Follow the instructions and you will bring up your current statement that you can print out.

One timesaving suggestion……………. The invoice fills four pages, but the second and third pages are what the lawyers call “boilerplate” and the fourth page is blank except for several lines at the top. Instruct your printer to print Page 1 only. Saves time and paper!
