The TCPOA is a volunteer organization that represents all property owners in Treasure Cay. While the TCPOA has no official standing in the governance of Treasure Cay, its authority rests solely in whatever results it can achieve to make Treasure Cay a better place. Annual dues are its major source of revenue.
At the annual meeting in March, 2011, an election was held in which TCPOA Members, either present or by proxy, voted in a new Board of Directors consisting of eight individuals from various categories of TC homeowners: Three from the Condo Associations, two from Single Family Second Homeowners and three from Full Time Permanent Residents. There are also five persons delegated to the Board from the various associations and non-profit organizations. A Management Committee was chosen from the board members, with the intention of having this Committee consist primarily of year round residents that could handle the local administration needs. The committee members include Cindy Newell, Anne Albury, Janet Laing, Daron Roberts, George Riviere and Mac Beckwith.
As the TCPOA is a fifty percent shareholder of Treasure Cay Amenities Ltd (TCAML) we have three TCPOA Directors that sit on the TCAML Board along with three representatives from Treasure Cay Ltd. You can visit the "Treasure Cay Amenities Ltd" page to learn more.
The TCPOA’s activities are determined by the needs of the community: We operate and maintain an office and staff that serves as a center for all non profits. We maintain a database for all residents and businesses in Treasure Cay, and handle announcements via email for non profits. We developed and maintain the website you are currently on (tcpoa.com) with pages devoted to the various organizations and a Members Only area that includes a complete Residents Directory, Calendar of Events, listing of Board Members and other useful information for the sole benefit of our members.
TCPOA directors regularly meet with various organizations such as Corbett Medical, Treasure Cay Security, and Emergency Services among others, to discuss ongoing issues that concern all residents and report back to the members vial email.
The TCPOA's overriding goal is to keep the community informed on happenings and decisions being made that affect Treasure Cay, and giving it's members a meaningful voice in those decisions.
Our office is located upstairs in the Solomon Building and is known as the TCPOA Community Office. An office administrator is always available.
