I wanted to pass on our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the Treasure Cay Security effort over the last year. We collected the most money in 5 years, with $33,000 from the home owner community. Bravo!
Although we still see spats of break-ins and occasional small boat thefts, we are confident with the help of The Royal Bahamas Police force to make improvements in our policing, patrols and effort to ban suspected criminal elements.
Treasure Cay Ltd. has been operating our current program with the manning of the entry gate house, utilities and 5 staff with Sergeant Bullard’s effort as our Chief of Security.
We have also been responding to local calls and random evening patrols in and around the village. We continue to partner with the Royal Bahamas Police Force to respond to any and all events.
Our current budget runs at $170,000 annually for all operation expenses and labor. Treasure Cay is seeking only half of that total from the community at $80,000 please? Treasure Cay Ltd will pay the balance at our current set up.
Therefore, we need everyone’s help to support a safe living environment in our “Jewel by the Sea”. We are asking that each home owner pay $150. per house, condo or villa within the Treasure Cay area.
