Treasure Cay Golf Club
| The 18-hole, par 72 golf course is 6,985 yards long from the most distant tees. It was designed in 1967 by the well-known golf course architect Dick Wilson. Among its many features are its lovely greens well protected by many challenging bunkers, and numerous long and narrow fairways. The course is open every day and offers Annual Memberships, Golf Packages, cart and club rentals. There are several tournaments and events held throughout the year. |

| After falling into some gradual deterioration into the early 1990's, a number of committed and energetic winter residents devised plans and raised funds to purchase fertilizer, advice and used golf course maintenance equipment. Tournaments were developed and sponsored by Treasure Cay Ltd and Abaco Insurance Agency which served to raise money and awareness. In the mid-1990's a group headed by winter resident Bill Bulger created an annual fee structure to help fund the ongoing maintenance. Gradually with the help of advice on cultural practices, aeration, top dressing, verti-cutting, herbicides and insecticides, the course turf and soil improved markedly. Each year thereafter the course benefited, particularly through upgrades in machinery and maintenance, bunker sand was replaced and over-seeding greens for winter play helped greens and fairways. |

Mel Gray took over club leadership in 2003 and engaged a well-regarded, experienced course superintendent from Florida to provide advice. Under his leadership the membership dues continued to fund improved machinery, fertilizer, chemicals and other materials. The arrival of Patrick Fetsch as Treasure Cay Ltd General Manager was an important boost to support coordination between the golf club and the resort. The course is now considered to be in its best condition in many years. |
